¿Tienen Sheinbaum y Trump una nueva reunión en persona en 2026?

Market context

Sheinbaum said she would meet Trump once there is a trade deal, and on October 13 she said Trump stopped one that was almost ready. The next chances are the APEC summit in Shenzhen, November 18 to 19, and the G20 in Miami in December. Will they meet before 2026 ends?

• How it resolvesResolves Yes if, between the opening of this market for trading (the date and time its status changes to open on Pálpito) and December 31, 2026 at 23:59 Mexico City time (05:59:00 UTC on January 1, 2027), Claudia Sheinbaum and Donald Trump hold in person a meeting or a conversation in which only the two of them take part, with or without their teams, interpreters or officials, even if it is short or on the sidelines of a summit such as APEC or the G20. It is enough that the Presidency of Mexico or the White House, including the public statements of either president, confirms that meeting or conversation, even if the other side does not confirm it. The following do not count: greetings or handshakes without a conversation, group photos, phone or video calls, and meetings in which another head of state or government takes part, unless one of those sources confirms a separate part of the meeting only between the two of them. Resolves No in any other case. Resolution source: the Presidency of Mexico (gob.mx/presidencia); backup source: the White House (whitehouse.gov).
