Resolution criteria

• How it resolvesResolves Yes if a sanction imposed on Manchester City FC in the Premier League's proceedings for breaches of its financial rules (announced on February 6, 2023 and known as the "115 charges" case) is officially announced before 12:00 AM on January 1, 2027, Mexico City time (06:00 UTC). Only an announcement made after the moment this market opens on Palpito, as recorded by Palpito, counts. If the sanction was announced before that moment, even if it was not yet widely known, the market resolves No. A sanction (a fine, a points deduction, title stripping or another sporting sanction) counts if it is imposed by the independent Commission, the Appeal Board, or an agreement between the Premier League and the club formalized under its rules. It is announced when the Premier League or Manchester City first publishes it in an official statement or decision. That first announcement counts even if it is later appealed, reduced or overturned. The following do not count: a guilty finding without a sanction (such as the verdict of September 2026), a sanction sought or proposed by the Premier League, hearings, leaks or press reports, and sanctions by other bodies (the FA, UEFA, FIFA, CAS, courts or the independent regulator) or for other matters. Resolves No in any other case, including a decision to impose no sanction. If sources conflict, the Premier League governs, then the club, then the press. Trading may close at any time after the sanction is published. Primary source: premierleague.com. Backup: official Manchester City statement or BBC Sport.
